6 ways to pamper Mom this Mother’s Day

Mother’s Day is this Sunday and like most of us, we are looking for something to make Mom feel special. It is especially important this year as many of us can’t do the typical Mom’s Day get together. Ruling out the typical brunch or Spa day, we have to get creative to show our love for Mom this year. Take a peek at some of the thoughtful ideas we came up with to show Mom your love and the best part is none of these require a trip to the store.

  1. Gift card and a homemade bouquet - Assuming you are driving distance, deliver a beautiful handmade card that tells Mom just how much you care. With Spring in the air and flowers blooming, pick a variety of flowers from the garden, put it in a small vase (we all have an extra vase lying around). Bake her favorite dessert and deliver it.

  2. Virtual Wine Tasting with Mom - Can’t go wine tasting with mom this year? Don’t fret, you can bring the wine to her and enjoy a virtual wine tasting with her. Send mom this awesome wine trio which also comes with a wine tasting session with winemaker and sommelier. Sample the wine as you enjoy the tasting notes and spend some virtual time with the winemaker.

  3. Music lover - Is mom a big music lover? Create her a thoughtful gift by making a playlist of her favorite songs. Create the list in Spotify and send it to her or if she has an Apple device you can put it in her iTunes account. She will love this gesture and will always smile when she hears the list you created just for her!

  4. Dinner to her door - Can’t take mom to her favorite restaurant this year? Why not send her favorite dish right to her doorstep? Schedule her favorite meal to be delivered using one of the many food delivery services such as DoorDash, Uber Eats or GrubHub. You can place an order, pay online, and request contactless delivery for mom. What a great way to pamper mom from a distance this year.

  5. Happy Hour & Zoom - Send Mom an invitation to a Virtual Happy Hour. Using Facetime, Zoom or Whatsapp, pick a time, send her a bottle of wine and an appetizer from her favorite restaurant, and together you can share a glass of wine, and a delicious appetizer and some quality time together chatting and catching up.

  6. Treasured Moments - Looking for that tear-jerker that is sure to make her feel loved? Create a montage of videos and special moments that you and mom have shared throughout the years. This can be done with a very simple and easy to use program called Kapwing- Don’t worry if you are not tech-savvy as this is very easy to use. Simply upload your videos and images and arrange them in any order you would like. If you are feeling creative, you can add one of mom’s favorite songs and even add a special message.

There are plenty of ways to make Mom feel special this Mother’s Day - don’t let lockdown get anyone down. Spoil your deserving amazing Mother this year however you best see fit and remember it is all about showing your love.
